Flower

Canvas, acrylic, oil, needles, yarn.

75 x 60, 95 cm, 2025

This is what lies inside me, and this part of me hurts. It is like a flower: if given love and care, it will bloom and emit a delicate fragrance. With thin needles, I pierced the canvas to attach a red thread that outlines my portrait, like an icon. The red threads, cascading in long fringes, evoke thoughts of blood or the root system of an exotic, warmth-loving plant. The petals and stems of this fragile plant embody extreme sensitivity: pain, emptiness, tenderness, vulnerability, joy, sadness, loneliness, aggression, love... This is a kind of monument to the experience of pain and the beauty of the process of restoration and intertwining. Each emotional layer contributes to the rich fabric of individual experience, suggesting not only a confrontation with feelings but also inviting deep interaction with them. In the process of these emotional excavations, I reveal the transformative potential of my personality, leading to a deeper understanding of myself and opening pathways to healing.
